The idea of owning and running a small specialty food business had been on the mind of Shaunah Steelman for years since graduating from Culinary School. After years in Fine Dining kitchens, the time had come to branch out which led to “In the Mix”, Baked Confections and Specialty Foods.
Shaunah came to the Cape for a 6 month job at Wequassett Resort in their fine dining restaurant, 28 Atlantic. She is originally from a beach side community in Southern California but now calls Cape Cod home after being here for 7 years. When possible she prefers to use local produce grown on Cape Cod and purchase other items from local business, such as local honey, lavender, spices, coffee and teas.
We thrive on building lasting relationships within the community while producing products that appeal to everyone no matter their dietary preferences. In the Mix provides Gluten Free, Keto and a few Vegan options as well as traditional baked items. We are happy to work with clients to meet their needs.
